Marketplace soiree

We are really looking forward to the Marketplace Soiree, Friday July 10th 5:30pm – 8:00 pm. Come along to sample artisan refreshments, enjoy craft demonstrations and topical speakers.

Exhibitors will be both showcasing their produce and offering their wares for sale, from tableware to beeswax complete with honey. A delicious event for the senses; a feast of the homemade and the handmade.

Marketplace transforms the exhibition space into a pop-up market, pairing local makers with local food producers. By looking back at early crafts such as artisan baking and fermentation including brewing and cheese making, Marketplace re-establishes their connection with craft. The exhibition follows the lifecycle of craft and food, from idea to crafted product, paddock to plate, and delves into global concerns such as waste, excessive consumption, food security and an increasing disconnect with food and craft production.

The Marketplace Closing Soiree will engage artisan guests with local craft makers and local food producers, reconnecting them with where our food and crafted items come from.
