Dai Li

Ceramicist Dai Li was born in Sichauan, China in 1987 and now lives and works in Queensland. Between the years of 2005 and 2009 she attended the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China and arrived in Australia in late 2009 after graduating from the Institute.

The artist held her first solo exhibition Wonderland in mid 2010 and the same year had her work exhibited alongside other contemporary Queensland artists at the 2010 Melbourne Art Fair with the Heiser Gallery stand. Dai Li’s work has been curated in the exhibition Gaze: people, relationships and interiors, Redland Art Gallery (Dec 2010/Jan 2011) which featured the work of important and emerging female artists.

Since then she has held a solo exhibition during the 2011 Adelaide Fringe at Miss Gladys Sym Choon’s and exhibited at Heiser Gallery in Bill Yaxley and Dai li: Recent Works and the group show People and Places.
