This lovely pair of earrings is part of Melbourne jeweller Victoria Mathews "Tingate Family's Carvan Holiday" series. 

Victoria said "The Tingate Family’s Caravan Holiday series is a fun and playful range of jewellery. It is designed with a 1950s theme, and to keep with this theme I have used formica and laminate which were widely used in furniture at the time. The 50s is a time-period that is steeped in nostalgia. It was a time when design was at the forefront, and new materials and shapes were being used, as well as bright colours. I find it interesting that these advances in innovation contrasted so strongly with the strict social expectations and rigid gender roles of the time".
