    The Long Tide: Contemporary Ghost Net Art

    Curated by Tasha Finn

    In the Gulf of Carpentaria, Indigenous weavers clear the ocean of abandoned fishing nets, known as “ghost nets”, to create vibrant vessels and soft sculptures that tell the story of their culture, bringing remote Indigenous communities together and assisting them to ‘care for country’.

    These colourful woven artworks presented in partnership with GhostNets Australia, a multidisciplinary Indigenous organisation addressing the ecological and cultural repercussions of “ghost” nets, and curated by Tasha Finn.

    Finitude (V2) by Keith Armstrong is a touch sensitive, fully interactive installation combining 3D imagery, transparency, moving sculpture, light and sound – investigating the cultural dimensions of sustainability through the lens of ‘time’.

    Reboot: Function, Fashion and the Sneaker

    Reboot: Function, Fashion, and The Sneaker is a design show about running smart and playing in style. Reboot will feature fashion collaborations between iconic sports brands, and the world’s leading contemporary designers, as well as the groundbreaking Olympic footwear that assists athletes to perform at their peak in the greatest sporting competition on the planet.

    Curated in-house by artisan’s creative team, and presented in partnership with Sneaker Freaker, the global print magazine and website celebrating the sneaker culture phenomena.

    Long Play: The Glory Days of the 12" Album Cover

    This graphic design exhibition takes a sweeping look at the glory days of album cover design - circa 1940 to the late 1980s – and includes covers by famous artists, interactive covers, banned covers and those reflecting the influences of contemporary art and design movements. Curated by Trevor Moore and Jennifer Hamilton and presented in partnership with Rockaway Records, this is a show for lovers of music and design of every age.

    Waterlogged: Sherrie Knipe

    Waterlogged is a collection of exquisite wooden sculptures made over the past five years, capturing the ever-present influence of water in the life and work of artist, Sherrie Knipe. While objects such as fish, watering cans, hot water bottles, pegs and shells are a part of a cast of characters that Knipe uses and reuses in her intricately carved wooden sculptures, water acts as an undercurrent that ebbs and flows throughout her practice.

    The Antipodean Steampunk Show

    This fantastical exhibition, the first major Steampunk exhibition in the country, showcases highly imaginative, handcrafted Australian Steampunk sculpture, photography, fashion, lighting, illustration, jewellery and communication devices. Steampunk merges a 19th century aesthetic with scientific invention, salvage, and new technology, and artisan has partnered with the Queensland Maritime Museum to include the old nautical, aeronautical and navigational equipment that inspired the style.
